Dholpur

Dholpur is a historic town on the Chambal River, known for its distinctive red sandstone that built many of India's famous monuments and for the Dholpur Palace, a former hunting lodge of the British viceroys. The Chambal Safari in the surrounding sanctuary offers rare sightings of gharials, marsh crocodiles, and dolphins.
