Manipur

Manipur is a jewel-like state in Northeast India, famous for the Loktak Lake with its unique floating phumdis (masses of vegetation), and the classical Manipuri dance tradition that is one of India's eight classical dance forms. The state is home to the endangered Sangai deer and hosts the spectacular Sangai Festival each November.
